GU 31767 and GU 28854 replacement
Do you have an older GU lift-slide door that is getting heavier to operate or no longer opens properly? Then it is likely that the trolleys are worn out. In older GU lift-slide systems, two types of trolleys are mainly found: GU 31767 and GU 28854.
Both models have now been replaced by a new type. In this blog, we explain how to recognize the old trolleys and which replacement you need.
Why is it important to choose the right trolley?
The trolleys bear the full weight of the lift-slide door. After years of use, the bearings can wear out, causing the door to:
- hard to slide;
- no longer lifts properly;
- difficult to close;
- causes more wear on the bottom track.
Before ordering new trolleys, it is important to first determine which old model is present in your door.

Old GU 31767 trolley
The GU 31767 is a common trolley in older GU lift-slide doors.
How do you recognize this?
In our video, you can see the GU 31767 on the left. This model is no longer available.
Correct replacement
The modern replacement is the GU 937 trolley.
The GU 937 was specially developed as a successor to the GU 31767 and is used in the renovation of many older GU lift-slide doors.
Old GU 28854 trolley
A second common model is the GU 28854.
This trolley is also still regularly found in older GU lift-slide doors.

Correct replacement
The modern replacement is the GU 934 trolley.
This allows the old system to function smoothly for many more years.
